LSUS hosted the Balloon Glow Festival this Wednesday- October 8th- welcoming students, families, and community members for an evening filled with food, fun, and hot air balloons. 

The festival included a bouncy house for kids, making it a hit for families. Food trucks such as Hot Dawg Hut, Good Cravingz, Demented Dessert & Coffee, and Uneeda Taco served a variety of meals and desserts throughout the evening.

Guests could purchase tethered hot air balloon rides for $25 per person, starting at 5:15 p.m and continuing until the balloon glow began at sunset. Each ride accommodated one person.

The Club Level VIP Tent offered hor d’oeuvres, cocktails, and an event t-shirt. Club Level guests could also buy a tethered ride for $25 between 4:30 p.m and 5:00 p.m, with a reduced wait time. A Club Level admission ticket was required to access this ride.

KSLA 12 News also covered the event, showing the colorful hot air balloon glow and strong community turnout. Admission was free for LSUS students with a student ID and children 10 and younger. The festival ended with an outdoor showing of the movie UP, perfectly matching the balloon theme.
